JARPUG alpha 0.8!

It's been a year-ish since the launch of JARPUG's Kickstarter! That didn't end in success, unfortunately. Because of that I've been spending much of my time working on Match Shot Chimera, a smaller project I'm planning to release on Steam Early Access this summer!

But I still want to maintain and improve JARPUG as well. While the timeline for that's not as short as it once was, I'm happy to be releasing alpha 0.8 today, including new visuals, a few new areas to explore, some big story beats, and some big tech improvements!

I've moved the game to Unity 6.1! Flat mode is now trying some sketchy outlines in its rendering, as well. I don't think the outlines are comfortable for VR, so they're not in VR mode! Tell me what you think of the new look if you're playing in flat mode!

So far I'm pretty thrilled with performance in Unity 6.1 and impressed at how few issues I've had, but I'd be surprised if there truly aren't any new issues to be found. Overall it's a big improvement to both game performance and production speed.

There's also a new version of the demo, which isn't any longer than before but still features the new visuals and engine.
